Each one feels small on its own, they renew automatically, and many start as a "free trial". Over a year, a few forgotten ones can quietly cost hundreds.
How to do a quick subscription audit
Open your last two months of bank and card statements and list every repeating charge. Then ask of each one: did I use it this month? Would I sign up again today? Cancel or pause the ones that don't pass.
Annual plans can be cheaper, but only for things you're sure you'll keep. Put renewal dates in a calendar so nothing renews by surprise.
